I’ve been very busy recently and not had much time to create any new characters but I finally found some time to finish Oyoh. Here’s a few work-in-progress clay renders of the final version.
UPDATE! You can see the final character here!
The new website has been a long time coming, but I finally got around to rebuilding it this week! As you can see, the design and content has been stripped back so its focus is primarily my characters and their world. There may be a few bugs to iron out over the next few days so if anything looks out of place, please let me know.
Of course, I’ll still be posting plenty of photographs online from Japan and elsewhere, but you’ll have to check Twitter or Instagram for those.
Thanks for visiting oomou.com!
It’s so nice to be able to post some work-in-progress images of Yu-bo’s taxi at last! I started this sculpt a few weeks ago but haven’t had time to finish it until today. I’m still unsure of the final colour scheme but I’ll post the final images as soon as I can…
UPDATE! You can see the finished character here.
Buggy number three in the series belongs to Oyoh, and as you can see, it follows Keiko’s tried and tested rules of design; i.e. there are none. It lacks style, comfort and speed, but you’ll just about get to your destination in one piece! Here’s a couple of work-in-progress images of the sculpt so far (with Qem keeping the seat warm until I finish the model of Oyoh!).
UPDATE! You can see the finished character here.
Oyoh is the fourth, and final, member of the gang that includes Keiko, Qem and Haru. This is the neutral figure version but there is a much more dynamic posed version on its way very soon…

I’ve been working on a costume design for a very important character recently. His name is Bok and he’s a good friend to Qem, Haru and Keiko. I’ll share more of his story soon (and reveal what he looks like under that costume!), but until then, here’s a few work-in-progress images of him.
UPDATE! You can see the finished character here.
Keiko isn’t the only member of her gang to enjoy travelling around Oomou in a home-made buggy. Here’s a couple of images of the final design for Qem’s. You can see the finished version here.
Qem is the third character in the gang that includes Keiko, Oyoh and Haru. Like Oyoh, she also has an anti-gravity buggy, which is currently under construction too. Stay tuned!
