Tokyo Sky Tree

By October 17, 2013Japan, Tokyo

The Tokyo Sky Tree opened last year, but the huge queues were a bit off putting, especially in the Summer heat. This year, however I finally got round to visiting, and the view was well worth it.

At 634 m (2,080 ft) the Sky Tree is the 2nd tallest structure on earth.

The base of the structure is gigantic.

At 350m high, the views from the main observation deck are breathtaking.

You can see all the way to central Tokyo. That’s Shinjuku at the very top of the photo.

You can pay a little extra to walk up to the higher observation deck at 450m high. Be warned; sections of the floor are glass!
