Tekkon Kinkreet Characters – Art Book Review

By September 25, 2016Anime & Manga, Art books, Characters

There’s nothing like a milestone anniversary of a beloved movie or game to make you feel old! Believe it or not, this year marks the 10 year anniversary of the release of Tekkon Kinkreet and to celebrate, Studio 4°C has released the ‘Characters’ art book to accompany the already released ‘Shiro’ and ‘Kuro’ books, which focused on the background and environment art.

Almost solely featuring work by Nishimi Shojiro, it contains everything from preliminary drawings and storyboards to production character sheets and key animation. While not as in-depth as the first 2 books, it certainly covers a lot of new ground, giving great insight into the process behind one of the most interesting and unique animation features of the last decade. A must-have for animation lovers.
